Installation Options
- Self-install kit: Free. Shipped within 3 business days of signup. Includes the router (if rented or purchased), cables, and a quick-start guide. Most homes with an existing NovaNet-ready outlet can self-install in under 30 minutes.
- Professional installation: $99 one-time fee. A technician installs and activates service, tests speeds, and sets up Wi-Fi for up to 5 devices.
Professional installation is required (and the fee still applies) if the home has never had NovaNet service before and no NovaNet outlet exists.
Appointment Windows
Technician appointments are offered in 3-hour windows: 8–11 AM, 12–3 PM, and 4–7 PM, Monday through Saturday. No Sunday appointments are available.
Rescheduling and Missed Appointments
- Appointments can be rescheduled at no charge up to 24 hours before the window starts, via the app or by calling support.
- Rescheduling within 24 hours, or a missed appointment (customer not home), incurs a $25 missed appointment fee.
Activation Timing
- Self-install: service activates automatically when the router first connects, typically within 20 minutes.
- Professional install: service is active before the technician leaves.
If service has not activated 24 hours after a completed installation, the case should be escalated to Technical Support for a line provisioning check.
