Transferring Service to a New Address
Transferring NovaNet service to a new address is free of charge. Customers should request the transfer at least 5 business days before the move date, via the account portal (Account > Move Service) or through a support agent.
Availability Check
Service availability at the new address must be confirmed first. Plans and speeds can differ by location:
- If the same plan is available at the new address, pricing and contract terms carry over unchanged.
- If the current plan is not available, the customer may choose any plan available at the new address. If the move is due to NovaNet coverage limitations, any 12-month contract early termination fee is waived.
If NovaNet has no service at the new address, the account is cancelled and the early termination fee is waived with proof of the new address (e.g., a lease or utility bill). Rented equipment must still be returned per the Equipment Returns policy.
Installation at the New Address
- If the new address has an existing NovaNet outlet, a free self-install kit transfer is standard.
- If professional installation is required at the new address, the standard $99 installation fee applies (it is not waived for moves).
Timing and Overlap
Customers can request up to 14 days of service overlap between the old and new addresses at no extra charge, to avoid downtime during the move. Billing for the old address stops on the disconnect date.
